Side-liner Brooms
Patterned from a side action whisk broom formerly made by West Amana's blind broom-maker for table-top usage in the community kitchens.  Modern uses: bench or table brushing; for hearth or fireplace use; cleaning floorboard of car; brushing dust from clothing; cleaning stairways and corners; dusting off home plate (umpires); texture painting (grass effect); for a souvenir and conversation piece.

 

Shoulder Brooms
The "Normal" shaped broom.  This style of broom is what most people think of when you mention a broom.  There are 9 different sizes from a child's broom to a heavy duty warehouse broom.


  
Amana Colony Pot Brooms and Golf Club Brooms
Patterned from an old community kitchen broom used for cleaning pots and kettles.  Modern uses: decorative novelty; an fine hearth broom; sweeping edge of rug; getting behind or under furniture and inaccessible places.

Witch Brooms
A round-shaped broom that has stiff broom corn in the center.  The broom will stand up by itself but flying lessons are up to the customer.  A snow broom is a  witch broom flattened with stitches that will sweep the dirt out of carpet and brush snow off sidewalks.
